Following the right steps and procedure can bring you to gaining the scholarship rewards if you are eligible to participate. This is only open to Nigerian tertiary institutions. Eligibility Criteria

Below are the eligibility criteria for Nigerian tertiary institution students to know about. This will notify you if you are eligible to participate:

  • The applicants for postgraduate studies should have a minimum of first degree with second class honours upper division.
  • Also, applicants must be full-time students of Federal or State Universities.

For University Undergraduate:

  • Applicants must full-time student of the institution.
  • You must be at least 200 level to apply.
  • Minimum required CGPA is about 4.0 on a 5 point scale or it is equivalent in your previous year.

Higher National Diploma (HND):

  • Applicants must full-time student of the institution.
  • The minimum CGPA for HND students is about 3.5.

Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE):

  • Applicants must be full-time students in 200 level or higher.
  • Requires minimum CGPA of 3.5.

Post Graduate Scholarship:

  • Applicants should be a registered full-time student.
  • The minimum school record is of second class honours (Upper division) in their 1st

The below list of studies are the courses to be considered for the scholarship:

  • Science and Technology.
  • Entrepreneurial Studies.
  • ICT.
  • Medicine and Para-medicals.
  • Environmental Sciences.
  • Education.
  • Agriculture.
  • Liberal Arts/Social/Management Sciences.
  • Law.

These are the courses to be considered and also they may be updated as times run out.

Method Of Application For The Scholarship

Below are the procedures to follow for the application of the Federal scholarship:

  • Get the online applicant form downloaded from the site education.gov.ng.
  • Complete filling the form and get a printed copy.
  • Get endorsement for your Head of Department (HOD) and the Registrar of your institution.
  • Then attach alongside the form with a copy of your letter of admission to the institution, current course registration form, student identity card, last session CGPS result, letter of identification from State/Local Government of Origin, and two passports with the name written at the back.

Important Notice About The Scholarship

There are other facts you should put in mind concerning the scholarship. Some I will be listing below, they are:

  • Applicant with wrong filled information on the form will not be attended to.
  • The interview starts at about 8.00 a.m. daily.
  • Candidates are advised to select the computer-based test centre (CBT) close to them.
