This virus is fatal, but in most cases when detected on time and well treated, infected persons may recover from it. But not because people recover from this virus, it doesn’t mean that you should be careless during this period.
Since its outbreak, this virus has continued to spread due to the negligence of people all over the world. In a positive approach towards containing this virus, nations and health bodies all over the world have come up with protective and preventive measures. We should also not take away anything from health workers all over the world. These people have put in hours of numerous work into ensuring that a stop is put to this virus that is spreading at an alarming rate.

Since the outbreak of this virus, it has spread rapidly across regions of the world and the world governments are finding it difficult to contain it. In order for you to stay safe during this period, it is therefore empirical that you know how this virus is spread. This virus according to experts is a respiratory virus. This virus spreads when an infected person coughs or sneezes through droplets generated during the action.
When a person is infected it is therefore important, that he or she self-isolates. And you as an uninfected person, make sure you keep your distance during this period as I will not only keep you safe, it will also keep your friends and family safe and prevent the virus from spreading.

How do you know you are infected or a person is infected with this virus? Nice question. You will know a person is infected or you are infected when you show signs or symptoms of this virus. And what are the symptoms? The symptoms of the coronavirus are;

This disease can be fatal. So it is important to alert the right authorities or self-isolate when you notice these symptoms in yourself or another person. Most people recover from this disease, but at times, this disease can be fatal. Currently, there is no vaccine for the prevention of this virus. In other words, there is no cure for this virus. However, there are various measures put in place to stop this virus. The world health organization has provided three major steps in preventing this virus and they are;
- Always wash your hands for up to 20 seconds regularly with soap and water. Do this as much as you can with soap and water or a hand sanitizer containing alcohol.
- Stay away from social gatherings and avoid close contact with people who are not feeling too well.
- When you sneeze and cough, make sure you cover your nose and mouth with your elbow flexed. You can also use disposable tissue for this purpose.
- If your hands are not clean, make sure you do not touch your eyes, mouth, and nose.
These are the preventive measures for this virus and Just as I mentioned, there is no vaccine yet for this virus. If you see any news or information about a vaccine, disregard it. Health bodies are however working tirelessly towards creating a vaccine for this virus.
How To Treat The COVID- 19 Virus
Presently, there is no known treatment or vaccine for this virus. People infected with this disease may need support in helping them breathe. But in order to stay safe this period and as a form of treatment, you are advised to carry out the following measures;
- Rest and sleep regularly so as to regain lost strength.
- Always keep warm by using a room humidifier or by taking a hot shower to ease sore throat and cough.
- Take plenty of liquids including water.
These are the self-care measures to treat this virus after self-isolating. You can also alert medical experts when you develop any of the symptoms or get infected with this virus.
