EDD California Online
The e-Services for Business offers employers and payroll agents a fast, easy, and secure way to manage their employer payroll tax accounts online. eWOTC enables employers to submit the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) Request for Certification Applications. Also, it enables them to view and manage submitted applications.
SIDES E-Response allows employers to respond to Notice of Unemployment Insurance Claim Filed (DE 1101CZ) online. However, to get started you will need to enrol. The procedure is very quick and fast.
EDD Employer Service Online Account
To access e-Services for Business, eWOTC, or SIDES E-Response, you must first create an account. While creating an account, you will create a username and password which you will use to access the platform. Further, employer representatives/payroll agents only need to enrol once to manage multiple client accounts using their own name and contact info.
EDD California Employer Service Online Sign Up
If you are a new user, you may sign up for Employer Services Online, using these steps;
- Go to https://edd.ca.gov/about_edd/Employer_Services_Online.htm
- Tap on Enroll in Employer Service Online
- Fill in the registration form with the following info;
- Re-Enter Password
- First Name
- Last Name:
- The Last 4 of SSN or create a 4-digit PIN
- Re-Enter Email
- Phone Number
- Tap the continue tab
Once you select Continue do not select your browser’s back arrow. Your information (except username) can be changed in My Profile after enrollment.
EDD Employer Service Online Login
If you have already enrolled in Employer Services Online, log into the service of your choice through Employer Services Online. Below are steps to log in to e-service business, eWOTC and SIDES E-Response account.
How to Log in to e–Services for Business
Follow the guide below, to access the portal;
- Go to the official website at https://edd.ca.gov/about_edd/Employer_Services_Online.htm
- Tap on Log in to e-service business button
- Enter your Username
- Key in your Password
- Then click on the Login box
You will successfully access your e-service business account.
eWOTC Employer Service Login
Follow the directives under to access your account:
- Progress to the official webpage at https://edd.ca.gov/about_edd/Employer_Services_Online.htm
- Tap on Log in to eWOTC button
- Fill in your Username
- Type in your Password
- Lastly, click on the login tab.

SIDES E-Response Employer Service Online Login
To access your side E-Response account, do this:
- to official website at https://edd.ca.gov/about_edd/Employer_Services_Online.htm
- Tap on Log in to SIDES E-Response button
- Input your Username
- Type in your Password
- Hit on the login tab, beneath.
If you forgot your password follow the instructions in the next section.
Employer Service Online Login Password Reset
Take note: To reset your password, your username and last 4 of your SSN or 4-digit PIN are required. Proceed with this guide to reset your password;
- Visit the Login page
- Tap on forgot password
- First Name
- Last Name
- Last 4 of SSN or 4-digit PIN:
- Click on Submit
After providing the above info, you will receive an email with a link to reset your password. And, you must respond within 24 hours or you will have to restart the password reset process again.
How to Switch to Another Service On Employer Service Online
To switch from one employer service to another within Employer Services Online:
e-Services for Business: click on “Employer Services Online” from the menu bar. Tap the employer service that you would like to use.
For eWOTC: log into eWOTC, select the link to choose a different employer service. Take note: The “Employer Services Online” link will be added to eWOTC in the future.
SIDES E – Response: click on the “Employer Services Online” from the menu bar. Then, choose the employer service that you would like to use.
Use Benefit Programs Online to access the Employment Development Department’s online benefit services. However, your account will give you access to:
For SDI Online: Apply for Disability Insurance (DI) and Paid Family Leave benefits and manage your DI claim.
UI OnlineSM: Apply for unemployment benefits, reopen an existing claim, or manage your claim.
For Benefit Overpayment Services: access your balance, make a payment, and set up an instalment agreement.
