    Kindergarten Stage

    Primary / Elementary Education

    Primary education/elementary school in Canada is mandatory for children, starting in grade 1, generally between the ages of 6 or 7, and continues until grade 6 at the ages of 11 to 12 years old.

    Secondary Education

    Secondary school in CA comprises of two levels- the junior high school and the high school. The junior high school is between grades seven and eight and while the high school is between grades nine, ten, eleven, and twelve.

    Post-Secondary Education

    Post-secondary education is the education offered to students after completing high school. One gets the option to apply to colleges and universities after graduating from high school, before gaining admission into the University.
