Facebook recently introduces this new feature that gives you the ability to liven up your profile page when people go through it.
However, this video clip will only play when other users visit your profile page. The news feed will not enable the display of this video clip. Creating moving pictures is pretty amazing and simple but the feature is only supported by IOS devices. So if you feel your profile photo is too static, Facebook has given you a few seconds to make use of. You now have an option of making a short profile video.
Facebook Profile Video – How to Make A Facebook Profile Video
There are steps you need to follow in order to make this profile video feature available. You should mote that is profile video feature is only supported by IOS devices and Android devices and to make a profile video; go to your facebook profile page/timeline and tap on your profile picture. A display will be shown to you. On IOS devices select either “select profile video or take a new profile video”. While on Android devices select “upload photo or video”. With IOS devices, you can make videos longer than 7 seconds and with Android, you can make videos of exactly 7 seconds or less than that. Facebook for IOS allows you mute sounds of profile video but Android devices are customized with sounds for profile videos.
Once you have uploaded the video you can choose a thumbnail from the video as a profile picture. The picture will be displayed on the news feed. But when people visit your profile page/timeline, the video will be played. Lastly, you can upload a temporary profile picture on facebook using this feature (not a video) supported on both IOS devices and Android devices. When you select a photo you will see a button tagged “make temporary” at the lower left-hand side of the screen. Click on this button and you can select the time duration of your choice.
