The Charles R. Wall Conservation Leadership and Management Fellowship is a comprehensive and innovative pan-African leadership program tailored for young professionals dedicated to the environmental field.

This intensive initiative unites individuals from diverse backgrounds, including businesses, NGOs, the public sector, and community-based entities, all of which contribute significantly to environmental impact.

Program Highlights

This fellowship is designed to equip participants with transformative leadership and management skills, fostering their ability to instigate systemic changes in the environmental sector. The program spans nine months and includes in-person workshops, virtual sessions, and personalized coaching support for innovation projects.

Benefits of the Fellowship

The fully funded fellowship covers:

  • Air travel to and from the home country, along with ground transport for the physical workshop in Nairobi in May.
  • Accommodation during in-person workshops and any program-related activities requiring relocation, such as placements,.
  • Stipend to cover data bundles for virtual sessions.
  • Personalized coaching support throughout the program to execute the innovation project.

Eligibility Criteria for Fully Funded Charles R. Wall Conservation Leadership and Management Fellowship

Prospective participants should:

  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in conservation and environmental sustainability.
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in the environmental sector, whether employed, freelancing, volunteering, or leading an entity.
  • Exhibit a commitment to supporting communities where they live or work.
  • Showcase creativity and skills that contribute meaningfully to their area of expertise.
  • Be African residents working in an African country, aged between 20 and 35.
  • Hold at least a diploma in any field; applicants with compelling experiential backgrounds may be considered regardless of academic qualifications.
  • Demonstrate managerial skills.

Language Requirements for Fully Funded Charles R. Wall Conservation Leadership and Management Fellowship

The training welcomes candidates from Francophone countries, provided they possess basic English proficiency. Some training materials and sessions may be translated into French.
