The notifications on chrome can be overwhelmingly annoying sometimes. Trust me I am speaking from experience. All those pop-ups just kept on coming with no sign of even slowing down or stopping.

This made me research a way to disable the feature. I have also found out that most Google Chrome users don’t know how to enable or disable this feature. And if you are one of these persons you have nothing to worry about.

Google Chrome by default notifies you whenever a website or an extension wants to send you notifications and you can also change this anytime you want. To turn on and off notifications on Google chrome;

Computer

  • Open the Google Chrome web browser on your computer.
  • Click on the More icon in the top right corner.
  • Select settings from the menu page.
  • Scroll down, under privacy and settings, click on the site settings option and then click on notifications.
  • Select to block or allow notifications from the options you will be given.

Android

  • Open the Chrome app on your android device.
  • Tap more to the right of the address bar.
  • Select settings and then tap on-site settings.
  • On the next page, select notifications
  • At the top of the page, turn the setting on or off.

iOS

  • Open the Chrome app on your iOS device.
  • Tap the more icon.
  • Select settings on the more page.
  • Tap content settings and then block pop-ups.
  • Turn block pop-ups off.
