The words “Search Google or type a URL” is written in the search space. All you need to do is click or tap on it and impute what you want to and allow Google to do the rest.

Voice Search

The Google voice search is also another feature on the Google Homepage. The Google Voice Search is a voice-activated feature. It listens to your voice and searches out what you want Google to look for. This can be used instead of typing your keywords. To use this feature, follow these steps.

  • Go to google.com. This will take you to the Google Homepage.
  • Click or tap on the little microphone icon in the Google search space. A menu would pop up.
  • Click “Allow” to permit Google to use your PC’s microphone.
  • Now tap on the microphone icon and voice your keyword(s).

And the feature is set to go on your PC or mobile device.

Gmail

The Gmail on the Google Homepage is more like a shortcut to access your Gmail account. It is located on the top-right corner of the homepage. Just by clicking or tapping on it “Gmail” icon, you will get to the Gmail page where you can sign in to your Gmail account and even sign up for a new account.

This allows you to upload photos of what you want Google to search out for you.

Add shortcut/Most Visited Site

This is a feature on the Google Homepage and it has a “+” icon on top of it. The feature allows you to add websites and pages you want to access easily. To do this, follow these few steps.

  • Go to the Google Homepage.
  • Click on the “+” icon. The add shortcut menu would pop up.
  • Impute the name of the website or page. You can also use any name you desire.
  • Impute the URL of the site or page.
  • Then you can click on “Done”.

The name displays as an icon on the Google Homepage under the search space. By clicking on the icon, you would be taken to that site instead of having to type in the URL and search it out.

On the contrary, for the most visited sites, Google automatically bookmarks and saves the URL of the site you frequently visit. This would save the time to type in the URL.

Apps Icon

The app’s icon has a series of apps that are affiliated with Google. By clicking on it, a menu containing these apps, you will find and have access to them.

Customize

To change your homepage back to Google Chrome, follow these steps:

  1. Open Google Chrome.

  3. Select “Settings.”

  5. Under the “Show Home button,” make sure the checkbox is checked.
