Through this program, students can gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in the field of AGI, which is expected to play an increasingly critical role in shaping the future of technology. Our program is designed to provide students with a challenging and rewarding experience, working alongside leading field experts and contributing to real-world AGI projects. We are excited to welcome the next generation of AGI leaders to our program and look forward to seeing their contributions to the field. Halle Foundation/AGI internships aim to:
- Expose interns to all facets of an American non-profit public policy center, including development, programming, administration, and research.
- Give interns the chance to complete their research projects and post their work on the institute’s website.
- Include interns in ongoing AGI initiatives and activities in the geoeconomics, foreign and security policy, and society, culture, and politics program areas.
- Offer chances to attend comparable Washington, DC, events hosted by other policy institutes or think tanks.
- Provide interns with access to a growing network of transatlantic professionals and specialists.

Responsibilities for Halle Foundation/AGI Internships 2024
The primary responsibilities of this position include (but are not limited to):
- Under the guidance of a senior staff member, conduct research on transatlantic relations concerns and compose an article for the AGI website.
- Do a range of topical research on behalf of fellows and staff throughout the three program areas.
- Create weekly briefs about immigration, defense, and transatlantic media.
- Help with the institute’s marketing plan and social media presence. This includes creating content for the AGI website, coming up with outreach strategies, and publishing on social media.
- Determine possible collaborations between the institute, grant-granting agencies, and commercial companies.
- Help with the planning and programming for upcoming gatherings, activities, and the institute’s annual dinner, where the global leadership award is given out.
Benefits for Halle Foundation/AGI Internships 2024
Successful applicants must commit to a minimum of three months of internship work at AGI for the entire semester.
Eligibility for Halle Foundation/AGI Internships 2024
- Students interested in transatlantic relations, Europe, or Germany, undergraduate or graduate, will receive an internship cost stipend of up to $1,700 a month. Before starting an internship, candidates ought to have finished the equivalent of four semesters of college education.
- Strong research and writing abilities.
- Strong communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
- Strong computer abilities (social media, online research, Microsoft Office Suite)
- German language proficiency is desired but not necessary.
