Among the best streaming services on the market, Disney+ is also one of the most affordable options available. Its ad-free plan is cheaper than premium options from Max, Paramount Plus, Peacock, and Netflix. This could change, however, as a Disney Plus price increase is planned for later this year. But members can lock in the current Disney Plus price for 12 months by purchasing an annual plan now, and the service also offers discounts if you sign up for the Disney Plus Bundle with Hulu and ESPN Plus.

What is the Best Disney Plus Price or Deal Currently?
Discounts on the Disney+ price are usually few and far between, reserved for its anniversary and/or the annual Disney Plus Day celebrations (around the same time as its D23 expo). February brought neither of those things and yet US customers could save a dollar a month for their first three months on its ad-supported plan. That came to an end on March 6, with no current offer available. Still, it’s a good indication of future Disney+ deals to come.
If you want even more from your subscription, for those in the US, we’d recommend the $9.99 Disney+ bundle, which throws in Hulu. Or, for sports fans, go the whole hog and pay $12.99 a month for all three, including ESPN Plus. Alternatively, if you want Disney+ on its own and want to forego ads, prepay for a whole year and save 16%. This is the best Disney+ deal for all countries currently, essentially getting 12 months for the price of 10.
Has the Disney Plus Price Increased at All?
Since its launch in November 2019, the Disney+ price has increased twice. Originally costing $6.99 a month, in March 2021 plans went up by $1 to $7.99 a month, with international markets seeing a similar price hike. The second Disney+ price hike (for US customers at least) happened more recently in December 2022 and was a more significant change with the introduction of Disney+’s ad-supported plan, which costs $7.99 a month.
The Ad-Free plan subscribers had been using up until this point jumped up to $10.99 a month or $109.99 annually (up from $79.99 a year). However, its bundle saw perhaps the biggest (and most positive) impact, getting moderately cheaper and offering more variations on its packages than the $13.99 rate that encompassed Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Plus. While this package is now a dollar cheaper at $12.99 a month, you can also opt to subscribe to just Disney+ and Hulu for $9.99 a month if the sports add-on doesn’t interest you.
It was announced the ad-supported plan would launch in international markets including the UK, Canada, Australia, and elsewhere in 2023 with similar Disney Plus price increase implications. In August 2023, the introduction of an ad-supported plan in the UK, Europe, and Canada was announced, introducing three tiers: Standard (with ads), Standard (no ads), and Premium. The new tiers will take effect on November 1.
It was also announced that US Disney+ pricing would see a significant increase on its No Ads plan from $10.99 to $13.99 a month ($139.99 a year) from October 12. As well as this, increased prices for the bundle plans will take effect, along with the introduction of Duo Premium, taking away ads from the Disney+ and Hulu offerings. This could very much be the bad news the CEO, Bob Iger, forewarned US customers about at the Q2 earnings call, in which he suggested there needed to be a more significant disparity between the Ad-Free and With-Ads plans.
That was alongside the revelation of a “one-app experience” coming alongside the Disney Plus price bump later this year, which combines content from Disney+ and Hulu—not dissimilar from what international subscribers get with the Star hub.
