NTU-SEARCA Joint Scholarship Program for Global ATGS 2024-2025 (fully funded)

This is a collaboration between SEARCA and the National Taiwan University’s (NTU) Master’s Program in Global Agriculture Technology and Genomic Science (Global ATGS). The joint scholarship program seeks to advance academic achievement, foster the growth of agricultural professionals, and advance agricultural research and development in Southeast Asia.

Citizens of the following regular members of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) are eligible to apply for the scholarship: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, and Vietnam. The term of the scholarship award is two years.

Scholarship for the NTU-SEARCA Joint Scholarship Program for Global ATGS 2024-2025

The following benefits are available to the winner of the scholarship:

  • Tuition and other school fees.
  • Allowance for travel to pay for airfare abroad.
  • Allowance for books and supplies.
  • Health coverage.
  • Allowance for subsistence, including housing, food, and other costs.

Eligibility Criteria for the NTU-SEARCA Joint Scholarship Program for Global ATGS 2024-2025

  • Candidates must be citizens of nations that are SEAMEO members.
  • You must not be older than 35 while applying.
  • The overarching subject of SEARCA, “Accelerating Transformation through Agricultural Innovation” (ATTAIN), must be in line with planned research.

Additionally, priority study subjects need to be found in the following areas:

  • Models of agribusiness for higher revenue and productivity.
  • Natural resource management and sustainable agricultural practices.
  • Security of food and nourishment.
  • Agricultural and rural development through transformational leadership (ARD).
  • Youth and gender participation in ARD.
  • An improved ARD aimed at climate resilience.
  • Applications of EcoHealth/One Health to ARD.

Application

The NTU-SEARCA Joint Scholarship Application Form must be completed electronically by applicants, who must also provide copies of all necessary paperwork. The necessary paperwork needs to be presented in English.

  • An original or certified true copy of the academic records for the Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, complete with original signatures from the head of the university and the university seal. The transcript of academic records must be sent with an explanation of the university’s grading policy.
  • Original BS diploma or a certified, accurate duplicate thereof.
  • Employment certificate, if one is employed.
  • Two letters of recommendation.
  • Curriculum vitae updated.
  • Two identical copies of the applicant’s passport-sized photo.
  • Attestation from a physician attesting to the applicant’s sound physical and mental health and suitability for graduate study.
