And with the sophistication and introduction of the internet came online marketing. Now the question here is this. Is offline marketing still around? And if it is, is this type of marketing still valuable?
Offline marketing is still very much around and it just might be that you do not know what it is. Many brands and businesses are focused on online marketing today and not minding the many benefits of offline marketing. Just as online marketing, offline marketing is something that also should be carefully developed, organized, planned, and executed.

Offline marketing is the type that makes use of channels and means that are offline and not on the internet. These channels are therefore used in creating and also achieving marketing goals.
Examples of offline marketing mediums are television ads, pamphlets, telemarketing, radio, billboards, and many other types of print media. You should also know that offline marketing encompasses more than what many people assume. It is much more work than the expected printing text or radio commercials. This type of marketing involves and requires lots of hard work and creativity.
Is Offline Marketing Still Relevant?
Yes! Offline marketing is still relevant and it still works. Truth is, offline marketing may be a better fit and choice for some brands and fits when compared to online marketing. Many people actually think it works because most brands do not have any other choice when it comes to advertising. Well, this is not true. For some brands, it should be the only way of advertising.
More than 31% of the population in the US purchased catalogs in 2016 alone and that’s not too far off. Newspapers in ad campaigns raised the effectiveness of the campaign to about 5.7% times in the finance sector and 2.8 times more in the retail sector. Also, 1.7 times more in the automotive sector and 3 times more in the travel sector.
Do you know that 7 out of 10 drivers make their shopping decisions while driving all with the help of billboards? 3 out of 10 drivers are also prompted to visit a shop or a restaurant all by a billboard advertisement.
Who Should Use Offline Marketing
Really? This should not even be a question to be asked in the first place. I think every business out there should utilize the various benefits of offline advertising today on their businesses. But I personally think that the best businesses out there that will benefit from offline marketing include;
- Small and medium-sized enterprises.
- Family businesses.
- International businesses.
These are the best business profiles that will benefit more from offline marketing. And this does not mean that other profiles will not benefit from this means of advertising.
Methods of Advertising Offline
Offline marketing does not just happen like that. There are mediums and ways through which it is propagated. And they are;
- Newspaper advertisements.
- Radio advertising.
- Business cards.
- Flyers and leaflets.
- Creating events and high and low profile visits.
- Business stands.
- Word of mouth.
- Cold calling
These are some of the methods of marketing offline.
