What is PayPal eCheck? PayPal as an online wallet platform is seen as one of the best in the world by many users. Personally, I make use of the platform in making transactions. If you are looking for a platform where you could be able to send and receive money to family and friends all over the world, then this platform has got you covered. PayPal as seen by many users is more than just an eWallet. This platform embodies a whole lot more. You can make the platform your default platform in sending and receiving payments from your clients and colleagues. This platform is considered the best in what it does. What about you? What do you feel about PayPal? Even if you haven’t made use of the platform in making transactions, you sure have heard of the name before.
PayPal eCheck
PayPal is loved and used all over the world for so many reasons. One of the various reasons besides it being one of the best is due to the features it offers. This platform offers features that other platform likes it does not offer. One of these features is its eCheck feature. And this therefore would take us back to the question asked earlier in this article, what is PayPal eCheck?
A PayPal eCheck is an option and a feature of PayPal. This is an electronic type of payment that is funded by the said buyer’s bank account. For a check to be an eCheck it must clear the bank before it can be credited to the recipient. If this is not done or cleared by the bank, the recipient cannot cash the eCheck. For an eCheck t be cleared, a recipient will have to wait for up to 6 working days. After these 6 working days, the money will appear in the recipient’s papal balance or account.
With the information shared in the previous paragraph, it is therefore important that you have enough money or funds in our account before you issue an eCheck or payment. If the money in your account is not enough, payment will be declined by the bank and PayPal will therefore have to represent it to the bank a second time
How To Cancel A PayPal eCheck
Anyone can cancel a PayPal eCheck after sending one. The steps and procedures are generally easy but only if you know how to go about it. Note that the full amount of an eCheck will always be requested from you by the bank. On to other matters, if you would love to cancel a PayPal eCheck after it has been issued, you will need to call your bank. On the other hand, if you would love to cancel an eCheck after it has been cleared, you will need to make contact with the seller directly to request a refund. But however, if you have the instant transfer option available on your PayPal account, you cannot send an eCheck.
How To Disable PayPal eCheck
If you have been following me on this article, then you should have noticed by now that an eCheck takes up to 6 business days for it to be cleared and reflect on a recipient’s account. This can be frustrating and annoying at times for business purposes. Fortunately, this can be avoided by blocking the eCheck payment option from your PayPal settings. When you block the eCheck feature, clients will only be able to pay you via immediate credit card or debit card, or via PayPal transactions. To disable the eCheck option on PayPal, follow the steps below;
- Go to PayPal and login into your PayPal account.
- Click on the settings icon at the top right corner of your PayPal account page and select the account settings option.
- Select payment preferences.
- On the payment preferences page, locate the block payments option and click on the update tab next to it or beside it.
- Lastly, you will have to uncheck the box next to the ‘pay with eCheck transfer for all website payments except eBay’ under the block the following payments.
That’s it. The action will block and stop all future eCheck payments from materializing.
