Getting started with this app is easy. First, you will need to download this app to your android or iOS device from the Google play store or the Apple app store to be precise. Next, you will be asked to set up an OneASICS account. This account will let you log into Runkeeper or any other Asics apps.
You will be asked for permissions by the app to enable location and motion sensors. This means that it needs access to sensors on your mobile device to help track your runs. Next, select OK to have access to all of the Runkeeper features. Next, you will be asked for permissions to enable push notifications. This is optional, however. If you would be loved to be reminded to run, you can also enable the feature.
The next options on the app will help enable the platform Runkeeper to benchmark your fitness and running schedule. You will be asked why you are using Runkeeper. And you can select from a list of options such as lose weight, run more often, or something else.
You will then be asked the longest you have run recently. And after you are done answering all these set of questions, you will be taken to the main Runkeeper dashboard. Tracking a run using this app is simple. All you need to do is to hit the start option in the bottom menu. If you selected the running program suggested to you by the platform when you first signed up, you will see a screen containing details and urging you to start workout on one of the programs. To do this, hit the start run button.
Or you can simply hit the free-run option if you do not want to stick with the program you signed up with. But know that whatever decision you chose, your run will begin when you hit the yellow start button. You will also other key details about your run in real-time, pace, and average pace. Also, you will see your location on a map due to your phone’s built in GPS.
On this app, you can also adjust your run settings. Some of the settings include turning audio stats, calories, and satellite map or night mode. Audio stats feature is recommended here in the sense that they let you know when your run has begun and notify you of key milestones all through your run. Press the yellow pause button and then the red stop button to end your run.
