There are some familiar faces from the previous generations who received a brand new egalitarian form with appearance and types in the Gellar Region. This is generation Vs darumaka and darmanitan who went from fire-types to ice-types in the region.

The two exclusives in the sword have their own signature abilities. When darumaka evolves into darmanitan it gains either gorilla tactics or zen mode as its ability.

This has darumaka and darmanitan as their galarian form exclusive, the shield has ponyta and rapidash. Two of the horse pokken move from fierce fire-type to majestic psychic-types with cotton candy manes.

The same state was kept by egalitarian ponyta and rapidash as their kantonian forms, but with their new typing, they were able to gain new weaknesses.

Ponyta and its evolution have to sign its ability, pastel veil which prevents them and all their allies from being poisoned. The whole excess of this action was to combat the rapidash’s big weakness to poison.
