If you have a low GPA- GPA at or below the school average of 3.9, you’ll need a higher SAT or ACT score to help you compete effectively against other applicants with higher GPAs.
Every school has its own requirements for standardized testing. Some universities require the SAT or ACT, and many also require SAT subject tests. However, you need to take either the SAT or ACT to submit an application to UCLA.
Currently, it seems like the school is not using SAT/ACT as a criterion to give admission due to the pandemic.
