From its inception, Ups started with the delivery of packages to retail stores within its neighborhood and expanded out of its states to other states of America. Moved out its headquarters to Greenwich, Connecticut in 1975. Today they make delivery to over 220 countries and territories globally.

On August 28, 2007, United Parcel Service celebrated its centenary.  On 19, March 2012 UPS acquired TNT Express for $6.8 million to aid in the expansion of its coverage across Europe and Asian markets. In October 2019, Ups got approval from the Federal Aviation Administration to fly drones. This will enable UPS to deliver health care supplied using a fleet of drones.

Also, in the year 2019 fiscal year, UPS reported out their earnings being US$4.40 billion, with annual revenue of US$74.094 billion. Making an increase of 3.1% over the 2018 fiscal year. With this United Parcel Service ranked No. 41 on the 2019 Fortune 500 list price f the largest United States corporation by total revenue.

This includes worldwide supply chain design, management and execution, freight forwarding and distribution, customs brokerage, mail, and consulting services.

Transportation

UPS operates with over 119,000 delivery vehicles worldwide. The vehicles range from bicycles, delivery vans, tractor-trailers, trains, cargo airlines, and Cargo drone airlines.

How To Use Ups Tracking

In the UPS platform, you can track your shipment until it reaches your destination. Here are the steps to follow:

  • Move towards the right side of the page, click on the Tracking icon at the top
  • From the drop-down menu click on the Track Shipment
  • Click on the track & track history
  • Key in your tracking ID and click on the Track button
  • It will show you the current location of your item. In this space, you can manage your delivery until it gets to your destination.
